Monthly Shuttle Bus – Brocton to Stafford

Over the past few months, the Parish Council has been in discussion with Community Link regarding the provision of a return bus service from Brocton to Stafford  for our parishioners.

We are delighted to say that a trial arrangement will be put in place, starting on Tuesday, 8 October, as follows:

shuttle bus will pick up and drop off in the village on the following Tuesdays, 8 October; 5 November and 3 December 2024.  The first pick up will be at 10.00am outside the phone kiosk (housing the defibrillator) on Sawpit Lane and travel along Sawpit Lane and Pool Lane, making stops at the Post Office and the Parish Notice board (where the bus shelter used to be and now has a bench on the site).  The bus will then turn around and make its way back along Pool Lane and Sawpit Lane to make the journey into Stafford.

The cost for the return journey will be £5.00 per person, which can be made in cash or by card.

This service is being ran on a trial basis for 3 months and its success will be reviewed by the Parish Council in December 2024.  It may be possible to revise the pick up and drop off points, in discussion with Community Link, however, the operating times of the bus cannot be changed, due to school commitments that Community Link are obligated to.
